Business Continuity Planning

A Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is a pre-approved collection of resources, actions, procedures, and information that is developed, tested, and held in readiness for use in the event of a major disruption of business operations.

Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) are a key output of BCM. BCPs differ from emergency response plans in that they are not cause-specific. BCPs are based on the impacts of disruptive incidents, not the causes. Whether your business is affected by a storm, flood, fire, earthquake or pandemic, the bottom line is that your business has certain time-critical process that must resume or you will be out of business.
